New Pics, Interior Completed in 74 Hi Boy

I finally finished the interior of my 74 4X4 Hi-boy. Thanks to all for the help and to all the Galleries for the many ideas which to base my truck off of. For a breakdown, I installed a 2003 Lariat 60/40 leather split bench seat, with power driver's seat, and integrated shoulder belts. Also installed a new (used) dash pad, and new (used) sun visors, both of which I dyed to match the seats (both purchased on ebay). I also custom fabbed a leather covered headliner with an overhead console from a 2000 chevy truck with functional map lights ($16 on ebay including shipping). This was a lot of hard work, but worth every minute of it. It is much more pleasurable to drive now than it was with that worn out old bench seat, and you wouldn't beleive the look on peoples faces when they open the door and peak inside this 32 year old truck. I included a link for those who care. Thanks again to all who shared their ideas.

chet_cowan, yes it took some work to get the seats in. I had to trim about an 1-1/2" from the original brackets (used a torch carefully), and then I had to weld new angle brackets onto what was left of the existing brackets so the seats would sit level. Wiring was a peice of cake, 1 hot wire and 1 ground and I was in business.

Thanks

Impressive to say the least. One can tell at a glance that it has had plenty of TLC and twice as much sweat poured into her.

Nice taste in interiors too.

Great upgrades; I'm impress to say the lease. I like how you use this site as a spring board to gather a nicely thought plan and even intergraded a over head console. That tan color interior goes great with your two tone paint.
