500 stroker hp and tourq help

i am in the middle of going throu my 500 and i am couirous on the hp and touq first of all here is what it was
scatt cast crank scatt hbeams srp flat top's
heads were c8ve-e ported to a scj with the scj valves cut into them roller rockers.
victor intake ported to match
holley 850 double workd over to the max
roller cam 663 intake lift and 680 exh lift
headman hustler headers
block is stock dive block not decked
i think it was a 12-5 comp or close to it

now i have moved up a class so i can run a few more goodies so i bought a set of frpp alum heads dom 1050 carb and i am unshure of a cam i want for it i was thining bigger cause i want to run 8000 rpms but not lose low end touq it is a for a pulling truck also i am thinking about the holley blue pump not shure if it to small or?
thanxs any help is greatly helpful
also i was gonna start porting the frpp heads but in time as i can afford it i want to get them cnc ported is a good idea to just leave them till i can get them cnc ported but most defintly want to gasket match everything

Ok the holley blue pump is too small, sorry I know it's the cheaper option but it's not going to feed that thing enough. Look to something like the mallory or even the holley 140gph pumps as your minimum, I am running a mallory procomp 250 on mine and it's just enough in my mind spinning a 528 at 7500+ with a 1190cfm demon carb.
on the FRPP heads, I would just do some pocket porting on them and gasket match for now if your going to go with a pro job later (either hand or CNC) clean up any areas below the valves, I also would go ahead and polish out the exhaust ports good (they may be better but still have Ford exhaust ports so it's still the restriction) I also like the clean up and polish the combustion chambers and chamfer the sharp edges to eliminate hot spots.

If you look at this picture you can see what I did on mine and get the idea what I mean by the pocket port on the intake side.

i replaced my blue pump when i sumped my tank.now using an aeromotive a1000.will feed over 1000 hp naturally aspirated and you can barely hear the pump run.how much duration is the current cam at .050?why not send the heads out while the engine is apart rather than tear it apart twice?

Yeah mine are new style TFS A heads with 2.300" intake valves. If I had waited 6 months they would have come out with the 2.350 valve option which is flowing some really impressive numbers right out of the box.
The new motor will be running the newest style of TFS A heads with the 18 head bolt option, and 2.350 valves.

And mine are hand ported by me, so yes you can do it yourself and do a decent job just take your time.

If you want to see the diffrence on the valve reliefs i have a link here you can go to

http://www.jonkaaseracingengines.com...tfordheads.php

And the diffrence between scjA and scjB is just that the scjA is assembled with springs for hydraulic cam and the scjB is for solid roller but the castings i thing are the same
