I have the worst timing

Ok me and dad were going to the junkyard to haul off the remains of a 1974 4 door Maverick that we stripped and when we pulled in I saw the knuckleboom lifting a 1951-52 Ford pickup that I figured that is was a rust bucket but when I looked at it all of the floors were good and not rusted out but they had already tore the cab up with the claw it had a complete body when I talked to the guy that brought it there he said he had junked 4 of them trucks I was just thinking how stupid could you be to junk 4 of these trucks I mean it was probaly a $500 truck and he might of got $150 for it don't it look like he would have tried to sell them instead of scpapping them

I refuse to accept this, I just do. Ever hear about the mopar yard in CA that had to be crushed due to their then new clunker laws? Sad.

That is very sad, it happens too often. I found an interent site that showed the obsolete ''old'' Model T`s were being chrushed in large masses when the ''new'' Model A came out.

Think of it this way: Mo money, mo money, mo money.... I know it's sad, but it's like art. The fewer there are of it, the more they are worth.

Just be glad you have your truck...and don't have to shop for one next year!

BTW, the toaster in your kitchane could have been a '32 Duesenburg. Stuff happens!

Just a thought....

Or the razor blade you shaved with this morning could once have been part of an aircraft carrier...

While I'm definately for saving our resources, some discretion should be used. Parts can be recycled into functioning vehicles. Restore them, don't crush them! Now I'll get off my antique soap box and use it for fire wood!

This is disturbing. We have a VERY nice chrome 4 slice toaster... now when I flip it up on its side and look at it dead on.... man if that thing had headlights!!!

Anyone wanna buy a 4 slice '32 Duesy?
