Huguenot during the summer.......right at the beach and you can still drive on the beach

Huntington Beach... right below Beaufort SC... (adjacent to Parris Island!)

I think you are talking about Hunting Island state park. We went there last year and loved it. We'll be going again this year.

Mount Magazine or Queen Wilhelmina state parks in Arkansas. Both sit atop mountains, offering great vistas and cooler temps in the middle of summer and have either lodge or RV/camping accommodations. Come fall, if your one of those folks that looking at leaves while they're changing colors...both areas have mixed species of timber. The two wheel folks love riding through those areas as well.
