I Need Help!!!!!!

here is the scoop i have a 289 in my 67 mustang and it tuns rough so i got the vacuum gauge on it and it was right on 17 but it still ran rough and i had already adjusted the timing prior to smooth it out the best i could so i set the engine to TDC tonight and dropped the distributor in the appropriate location and went from there but it was stil kinda rough i was wondering if i could meet with some one nearby in PHX,AZ i live near 43rd Ave & Dunlap(Olive)
or i could come out to you but i am stumped and as a college student i need all the help i can get thx in advance

First thing you should do is check the spark plug wires and make sure you have each wire going to the right cylinder, if that is'nt the prob check for fouled spark plugs, check your distributor for cracks,is the rotor new? the points could be burned and worst case scenario you check each cylinder for compression and see the strate of the motor.......There is a ton of different things it could be, a mechanic could scope the motor to figure out what the prob is and then you could do the repair yourself to save some $$$$$

i replaced the dist. with a brand new DS2 dist and wiried it to an MSD 6 box and the plugs, wire, cap , and rotor are new i am reading about 17 on the vac gauge but thats as high as i can get it but i think i am gunna take it to mustang corral on northern
