Parting out a 52' mercury

I have a compete 52' mercury (flatty v-8 not sure what size though) pickup that i am thinking of parting out. This truck will never see the road again cause it was a farrm truck and has sat for many years outside. It has all mercury emblems(all are in really good shape), motor is probably siezed do to mice but everything should be in decent shape other than whatever rust is there, tranny(4-speed manual-& rearend are there and they still work to some degree(it still moves), gril is still in decent shape, body parts have big dents but a good body shope can fix them, not sure how much rust there is though, emblems in the interior are stil there and i believe that there are in decent shape to.

I am not that sure on how good of shape the parts are cause i haven't been done there to look at it in a while. And i haven't had the hood up yet but i know that everything is still there. If you are interested let me know, but i will not be able to go down to check on the truck for at least a week(i'm a farmer and we are still seeding). I live on the us/canada border (canadian side) and if the parts are not to large i can help ship them for you (i will package and take them to where they need to be sent from but buyer pays shipping charges).

No problem - to be honest I've been trying to figure out how I'd explain to my wife the presence of more "stuff" in the garage where her Jeep is supposed to be parked - lol.

I'd like to hear about your handle - my youngest son brought a project 70 sportsroof home from California last month and he has big plans, but empty pockets right now.

Probably shouldn't talk about it here tho - we'll get the moderators after us....... Tim in Kalispell

If rust isn't a huge probelm it might be worth restoring. As I'm sure you know, the Mercury and Ford trucks shared nearly all body parts. Some of the stuff that is too far gone to repair can be replaced with Ford metal. I think a Merc truck would be a very cool project. I'm thinking of building a '46 Merc truck clone myself. I'd convert my '46 Ford to a '46 Merc. I picked up all the '46 Merc trim, except for the grille a few months ago.
