>I have a y-block with the casting numbers of ECGB015B or ECGBO16B?
>Can anybody tell me what type of block do I own please!!!!
From the Y-Block web site:
ECG = 272 cu. in V8 used in 1955 to 57 cars and trucks
6015 is the standard Ford part number for all engine blocks. Are you sure that B in the fourth place isn't a 6?
The last B is the revision number. The sources I've read say you can replace parts without compatability issues if the replacements have the same or later revision numbers. So you could use an ECG6015B, ECG6015C, etc. block if you needed a replacement. Maybe somebody else can confirm that.
