I can say that my highest electric bill last winter was $78. (Stuart area) This is for an 1100 sq ft full basement all electric except propane cook stove. Don't worry about cooling as I go back to NY during summer. Ceiling fans work wonders.

I have a gas and electric 2 zone system and in the coldest part of last winter my electric was around $115 and my gas bill was around $350. I have gas hot water heater, stove and fire place. in a 3,000 sq ft house. hope it helps
