Wink New name?

Hello.

It's been awhile...

Since my last check in I have bought a 91 F250 and sold my 69 F100, the 83 F100 and the 85 F150 if ready to go to the junk yard. I still have an 85 extended cab that is pretty much rust free that I am parting out.

I thought I would never do it, but I have to admit... the EFIs are really nice in the winter and seem to run smoother with less messing around. The 91 has a beater body. Not really any rust but lots of character bumps! So far I have put on new tires. fixed the horn, hood release and the glove box latch.

It's fun, but won't be for show ever. Definitely a work truck!

Can I change my name? 69 and 85 is done... I'm more of a dreamer or work in progress!!

You'd have to contact the admin on that, not sure really how they handle that...
I have the model year in my name, but I can float it a bit in the event I actually do get rid of it, although that isn't in the plans, just never know what may come...

Basically the answer is NO, this has been asked before and it has to be done by admin and they came to the conclusion that except for some very interesting circumstances, if they do it once then they would be spending all thier time changing peoples names so they say make sure it's a name you can live with. And you don't want to be one of the "special circumstances" people cause that means you used something that was inappropriate for FTE.

That makes sense. I still like the trucks - even tho they're basically gone. Thanks for the responses.

Hey Kelly... I tried to contact you a while ago. I wanted to drop you a line to check out my pull truck website and the pictures. Yes under that green paint is parts of the truck that you sold me (I know the frame, a fender, the hood, and the cab for sure.

Good deal about the 3/4 ton. Hope it works hard for you.

Good to hear from you.... I'd love see the truck!

The '91 is great. I used it lastnight to drag a 93 LeSabre to the local yard. I couldn't even tell it was back there. It is pretty dented up, but runs/drives good.

The truck's awesome! I really like the pic where you can see the old paint on the cab... otherwise it's hard to believe that's the same truck we put on the trailer.

Friend of mine told me about another truck here in town that was extended cab, 4x4 and all, made it sound like I just made the run down there for nothing in regards to getting a more complete truck... not regretting for a moment buying it, the one here makes my dad's truck look good... Not that I regret it either way, happy to help out, and get it out of your way at the same time...

Yeah, after I bought the parts off that extended cab F-150 it was no longer a complete truck, I got the doors, hood and tailgate, I also got aftermarket fenders and cab corners from the guy. He even threw in a tilt steering colum. If he just would have had a bed, i could have got my old truck back to new in one trip. Ecept for the bed the truck was very rust free, so I asked him if it came from down south, of all places it was from Minnesota. Oh the best part was when I left this guys house I got about a mile down the road with my truck full of parts and it started to hail! Luckily it was small enough that it caused no damage. The guy did have a 91 style F250 and he was parting out an 85 F150 extended cab, that is why I asked.
