Anyone have any 93/94/95 Lightning engine specs?
I'm doing an EFI swap into an older F100. I've been thinking of going with a 89-91 Mustang 5.0, but now I'm toying with the idea of using a 93/94/95 Lightning 5.8, since it offers a little more power. Does anyone have any info on which components/part numbers were used? I think it uses the GT-40 intake, and heads. I already have an explorer intake, which flows similar the the tube style GT-40, so I could use that. So, what ECU#, maf#, cam specs, rockers, (1.6 or 1.7) etc would I need to build a clone? I'd like to find a wrecked one in the salvage yard, but I think my chances are pretty slim, and would be pricey if I did find one. Thanks!

You will have to get a GT40 lower manifold for the 5.8 because the one from the 5.0 explorer won't fit. The upper explorer manifold will match the 5.8 GT40 lower. Those generation lightnings were not mass air either. Blurry94 knows all about the lightnings, so he could probably get you the ECU numbers and cam specs...
