Hi ! Has anyone ever installed one pc. door glass in a truck. Doing away with the vent glass.I thought about doing it. I'M not worried about cutting the glass. Just need to know were to get the front glass runner. Or how to make it. Im not bad at fabing stuff out. A print or a diagram would be great to. THANKS !!

LMC (http://www.lmctruck.com/ford_truck_cat_page.html) has all of the parts if you want to stay w/ the vent. John's F-Funhundred (http://www.f100.com/) has what you need to eliminate the vent window.

 

I'm not sure on a '52 but I know on a '53 to completely remove the vent window (and not have that little plastic triangle in the corner) it's necessary to do some cutting on the window sill, rework the upper hinge pocket and rework the window hardware. there was a vendor at the Supernats last year that had a setup that worked well, but it wasn't a bolt in installation. You might check this year, he was right behind Mid-50s area... sorry don't remember the name...

Any decent sheet metal shop can bend you up a channel to use for the front glass run.

 

Check with Sacramento Vintage Ford, too. 1-888-FORD-100 $340 bucks gets you the glass, felts, brackets, and runners for both doors.

 

Just finished making front glass runners for my 48. Can send you info if you still need it.

 

I have been planning on installing one piece windows in my '50, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
I would appreciate receiving all of the information you could send me about doing the job.

Have one pc side windows in my '50 F1. Just replaced a broken one at local auto glass shop for $50. Most shops will also have felt runners, and can give advice on brackets. Easy installation.
