about a month ago i picked up another 85 3/4hd 4x4 460 w/4sp and ever since ive ben toyin with the idea of puttin my 71 f100body on that chasis the 85 is rusted to the windows but the frame is in good shape and i do need a good heavyduty truck since my 92 150 cant haul the tracter around. id hate to wreck a sweet rust free truck like the 71 but the temptation is great so what ill do is count all the post and what ever wins is what ill do or not do thanks ya'll

I'm kind of a bone stock and keep it bone stock kinda guy but I like the idea. I like the bumpside bodies especially when they sit nice and high. I'd say do it, take your time and try and gather as much information as you can. If your looking for some more heavy duty stuff a front solid dana 60 would be choice as my memory serves me the 85 3/4 ton came with a ttb dana 50. Go for it and maybe you can get a few pics set up. I'd like to see wat you would do if you went for the swap. I'll probly be sendin pics of my minor resto on my recently purchased 72' f-100 ranger XLT. i like what I hear.
