The synthetic muds claim to stick up to 100 degrees but I've found that they begin to peel at much lower temps. I just can't believe that this product, which claims to be real mud, can perform better than a synthetic.

Don't tell me you are actually going to apply something that claims to be real mud to your pickup. Think of the implications, Mike! What's this going to lead to, actually loading something in the bed? How about hooking up to a trailer and towing it? Will you be satisfied then, Mike?

Oh, the humanity.

is this serious or a joke? who in the heck would ever so something so stupid as to buy spray on mud for "that off-road look?"

this is the dumbest thing i think i ever heard of, this thread must not be serious because no one would really do this.

how about this for a change....USE THE TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! it will get mud on it then.

unless of course your one of those people who are to scared to take the truck off-road.....

edit: i KNOW this thread is a joke!

Making it look just like real mud isn't dirt cheap.

What's next? synthetic/adhesive deer fur so you can take a sledge to the front of your truck, and of course, apply the product, and tell all your buddies you hit one huge deer.....Wait a second....does anybody on here do patents????

Another advantage to the synthetic muds is that you can easily vary the color by injection with supplied color enhancer. Mud varies in color according to what's in it and the local minerals so mabe this real spray on mud wouldn't look local enough.

I'm tempted to just stick with the synthetic.

If you spray the synthetic mud through a bypass filter you can go 15-20k miles before you need to reapply vs. the 5-7k if just applied normally.

Yes, at least stick with the synthetic, I think you're headed for nothing but headaches with that "real" mud. Think of the crowd you might fall in with using it. Most of the people with that stuff on their pickups look like they were the inspiration for the movie "Deliverance".

Completely boorish, if you ask me.

If I get your drift, I think you meant to ask if you're a preferred customer do you get it at a discount?

I dunno, synthetic mud may look better in some cases, but real mud just feels better, IMHO.

Real mud is also an American tradition and using synthetic mud can only lead us down a slippery slope.

Yes, Multi-level mud marketing! It's the way of the future since Walmart won't sell it off the shelf.
