So I want a land line and already have comcast for internet and cable (basic) and pay about 100 a month. Comcast has a deal where ya get everything for 100 bucks (and its digital cable) Kickass I think, I can get the history channel back and get a land line and pay the same amount.....

I call comcast. I find out that since I already have some service, I'm not eligible for the 100 dollar deal.... great... but I can get the phone service for 33 bucks... ok, not too bad.... OH but The history channel isnt availible on the lowest digital cable package (55 bucks) I need the 64 dollar package oh, and I have to pay taxes on the phone line, pay 1.50 a month if I dont want my number published, AND they wanted me to pay 99 dollars to instal a modem and cable box....

Hey Jake have you had any experience with AT&T's cable internet?

My parents just got fed up with Comcast so they canceled and AT&T is somewhere in the ballpark of $15 a month for the first 15 months.

We also have DirecTV so no need for the cable from Comcast.

 

The worst part of that is that I really like AT&T, but here in Utah, Comcast bought AT&T!

 

If you are in Verizon's FiOS network, it's great. Fibre all the way to your house. I get internet at 15Mbps! Expanded basic TV (Yes I get History Channel) and the house is wired to Verizon phone service and it's NOT that stupid internet phone. Both run about 100 a month. If you are new, I think it's free 1st month.
