Stock 302 valve springs or.....?

I'm putting a new 351W RV flat tappet cam (roughly .430" lift) and lifters into a '71 stock 302 (recently rebuilt) for a tad more pull. I'm wondering if I need valvesprings other then stock (suggestions?) and can I use the stock length 302 pushrods, or 351 pushrods? Thanks for any responses!

I wouldn't think so. That's not that much lift. Some companies do offer "rv" springs. The plunger should be in the middle of the tappet at full lift. If it is not, probably need different length pushrod.

You will need to run the 302 push rods and change you firing order to the 351. I would replace the springs if they are the stock 71 springs you thinking of using. The cam card should have the recomended seat and open pressure so you could have your springs checked and installed at the recomended heigth and pressure. If yours are short of the recomended pressure get new springs that rv cam will rev to 5500 or so.
