engine swap rad hose problem

Ok finally got a good motor for my 78 4x4. My problem is rad hoses. The truck originally came with a 400 which was then swapped to a 351 cleveland. I pulled the cleveland and installed a 351 windsor. Does anyone know if the rad hoses from a 302 engine will fit since these trucks never came with the larger 351 windsor. The rad is original. I don't know if the rads were the same size between the 302 and the 400. If they were then it should be a simple process. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I can't tell you if the 302 and 400 radiators are the same, but i can tell you the 302 radiator hose will work for the 351w.

I used an upper rad hose for a 351W from a van. Has loads of clearance for non-existent v-belts.

Don't know about your truck, but on mine, the 351M rad was 4" wider than the original 302 rad.

the radiator for the 400 will be if i remember right a 3 core while the radiator for the 302 is a 2 core so it will be a bit larger ... the diff you will run into there will be that it will take longer for you coolant to heat up to opperating temps

The stock bottom rad hose for a 302 will work just fine. u will probably have to get a 302 with a/c top rad hose as the bung on the rad top is bigger diameter on the larger rad. i used the stock 302 top rad hose on my 351 with a 460 rad. but it is a real tight fit.
