what kind of paint should i use? lifted 4x4 f350 flat,gloss?what holds up the best

That is subject to debate. I've heard of powder coating, undercoating, bed liner, trailer roof coating and a few other items. If you want paint, I'd suggest a GOOD rust resist paint like Rustoleum or such. You can get the paint in spray can or by the gallon.

POR15.....very good paint. Durable and you can even Paint Over Rust (Thats where it got its name from)

Ford sells a spray version of the black wax frame coating stuff. I used a can and it covered a lot of frame on my 99 SD quickly. If you are interested I can get the P/N off the can.

That F3AZ-19515-SA black frame wax--- is it spray on or is it brush on?? And how expensive is it?? Does it look like the Ford factory frame wax that is on the frames of Ford trucks from the factory??

It is spray on, about $11 per can, it does look like the factory wax if you make sure to not go too thick. I went a bit thick on the frame of my 99 F-250, but I was more interested in the protection. One can covers a lot of frame.
