has anyone put these on their truck? do they just replace the stock spring without any modification???

I haven't done this on a 48 truck specifically, but I have replaced a stock spring with a reversed eye spring in other vehicles. Basically, it lowers the vehicle a couple of inches with no other modifications. Watch for bottoming snubbers and be sure shocks don't bottom out, but you should be okay on the shocks.

 

I-put-the-reverse-eye-main-leaf-on-the-rear-of-my-54-and-I-only-had-one-problem,-my-second-leaf-over-laped-the-eye-and-I-had-to-cut-it-off.
