Overdrive light flashing on '97 Explorer Sport

Drove from Ohio to Massachusetts yesterday when the O/D light began flashing "O/D OFF". Lost overdrive about a minute later. Drove 500 miles, stopped overnight. Light went off after second start this AM. I am replacing switch. Should I be looking for something else?
