I just picked up a set of four Lightning rims off of a 2003 or 2004 truck. I'm not sure which, but they are the in-lay five spoke style.
The rims are in good condition and have no major damage. On two of them, there are small spots of curb rash (on the lip of the rim) and hairline scratches (you have to be looking for them to see them). The rims are 18x8, and are not chromed.
I was just wondering how much I should be looking to get for these rims. I've seen a large range, and was wondering what a good price would be. If someone would tell me how I would include some pics. Thanks for the help in advance.
I have mine set to go up on E-bay tomarrow, and i set the reserve lower than $400. Do you guys think this will lead to more bids, or should I set it higher before it starts? I've been trying to sell them for a while now, and E-bay is the last resort.
a guy close to me at a performance store had 4 L wheels....the gray ones off of a 2000 or so. they were all in the ford racing boxes and he wanted $500 for them all
Ford recently blew out all of their CHROMED OEM wheels, dumping them on the market for a cheap price.
'99-'00 rims were selling for $400 dollars shipped. Other years were available, but they sold for $500 shipped. These were chrome, OEM rims from Ford, mind you.
I paid over $1200 for mine several years ago.
My buddy picked up a set of chromies for his '99 L.
Anyway, I'm not sure how that might affect your reserve price, but I do believe only the '99-'00 chromies are available now. I guess all the other years sold out.
Have you listed them for sale on the Lightning boards?
