chrome grill for 1960 f100

Does anyone know where I could get a chrome grill for the 1960 f100? The current one is painted white and I like the look of chrome. I guess to it correctly I would need the piece for around the headlights and the grill itself. Also the flat pieces that house the headlight.

Hi Joe,
This guy has them, but I believe he's a bit pricey. http://www.glennmarionparts.com
I also see them on e-bay from time to time.

Hope this helps

chrome grill for 1960 f100

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 20-Oct-02 AT 01:51 PM (EST)]Here's a link to a website I know of that sell older parts for Ford's from the Model A thru 1972 - www.macsautoparts.com. In fact there's a banner ad here on this site for them. I bought a Ford script like they use in the street rods & plan on installing it on my grill. They seem reasonable & have awesome service too & their catalogs are FREE!
I also just found a site but I never ordered from it so I can't tell you much about it other than the address - www.dennis-carpenter.com. They too cater to older Ford's & he makes all the parts himself. From what I read it is a very professional operation. Give them a try & see if they can help! Good luck!

Why not paint it black instead? And add chrome headlight doors. That combo looked great (but not at all "original") on my '59 Merc. I'll try that with the '60 Ford panel truck; if that still looks bad, then it'll get a '59 front clip.

Is it expensive to get it chromed? Do I have to strip the paint first or does the shop do it?
