It was my first time at the drag strip with my 06. It was pretty fun, my best time was a 14.1 and thats just with an sct w/ extreme race file from eric and an mbrp cat back exhaust. I think I could do better, but it was pretty windy there, like hard to stand still wind. And it was working agianst me too. I have a video of me beating an evo, the best part is you can hear people in the crowd saying holy crap he just got beat by a truck.
is your truck auto, 4x4 cc ? thats a good time, the guy in the evo was prob laughing at you when you pulled beside him.....now hes chitting a brick bcz he got beat by 8k truck
My truck is an s/crew with an 8ft bed. Plus I had my tool box on with a good 300-350lbs worth of tools. I was exactly planning on running, one of my freinds wanted to run his trans am, so i threw all the tools we could possilbly need for his car, plus a jack, jack stands and other misc crap. Everyone gave me some dirty looks while I was in the staging lanes, but after a few runs, I had the crowd cheering me on. It was a blast.
Just to put a 14.1 in perspective... my 96 mustang GT with a 5 speed was rated at 14.6 from the factory and it felt fast so a 14.1 is a great time especially at twice the weight so congrats
