47 Ford Panel is close to a 46?
OK, I said I was keepin my truck a secret but here it is. 1947 Ford Panel, 460 big block, Pacer front end, 9in rear, notched rear frame, shaved handles and suicide doors, c6 auto, custom front grille, vintage air, power windows and much much more. I do have to add I DID NOT do all of the work BUT IT will BE DONE IN spring!

1946 Superior School Bus
I'm starting a big project. I have a 46 <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>Superior</st1></st1:city>20 pass School Bus. My plans are to use possibly a 428 or 460 with an auto tranny. Replace the running gear with modern dually front and rear. Air bag suspension, dual exhaust and upgrade the interior. My mind is full of ideas. I am working on a plan of attack. The start can be seen on my gallery. More to come.

I have a 1946 Ford 1/2 ton pickup that my dad drove for 25 to 30 years in the 60s, 70s & 80s until he parked it in the field at my brother's place out in the country where it continued to rust in the tall grass. We had always talked about rebuilding it but never got serious about it until he died in 2004. Within 2 weeks my 3 sons brought it down to my place on a flatbed wrecker & proceeded to tear it down with little rhyme or reason. Once it was down to the frame I could see we had a big job ahead. I suspended the frame between 2 engine stands so I could access all the rust holes & proceeded to cut out the rust & weld in patches. After I got done I sand blasted the whole frame & then boxed it from front to rear. I'm using the front suspension from a Mustang II with a cross member kit from J.W. Rod Garage & a T-bird manual rack. The engine is a 351W, trans is a T5, ear end is 9" from a 1980 Bronco, front disc brakes, bucket seats are from a Mazda RX7, sliding rear window from Bob Drake, 20 gal fuel cell from Summit Racing, suicide doors, tilt front end & most of the other parts I had to make because I either didn't have the money to buy them or they weren't available. I have posted some pics in a thread "1946 Ford tilt front end" in case anyone is interested. If anyone is interested in more info just email me & if I know thew answer I will email you back.
Thanks

you wanna know more hey..?
OK,
I bought the 35 from Chris at "Romance with rust" in Old Town Orange Cali. His business is bodywork and hotrod mods.
Im sure he told me he found the truck in Nevada, Its quite a soild truck! anyway He had it as a shop truck and his daily driver for a short time . Basically he put 40 juice brakes on, 40 wheels [big 'n' littles] lowered it, 40 steering box, 39 motor re-built by Chuck Price [stock] 12volt conversion, new starter, reds headers, the gearbox is a 39 I believe. He said it would have not done anymore than 2000 miles with all this done.
Its waaay kool!
