I do most of mine (about 2 times a year) in Ark. or the Smokies. I wish there was a TN river closer to Memphis.

I do most of mind on the Caney, Elk or Tellico. I love the Tellico the most. When I want to really get away, I will head up to fish the South Holston and Wautauga.

I also fish some of the stocked creeks in the Spring and early Summer. What about the rest of you guys?

The Caney is below Center Hill dam right? I think there is a hatchery there. The Tellico is all the way to Knoxville about. That's a good trip from Memphis.

Wolf, I here Glen Springs is ok. I wonder if you have a TWRA permit as well as a TN license.

Dunno. They sell whatever permits you need right there at the baitshop.

Unless of course you go over the fence at night...

All you need is regular hunting and fishing license and a trout stamp if you plan on being in trout water.

Caney is below Center Hill, no hatchery there. Closest one is Dale Hollow, pretty good fishing there.

Tellico is slightly above Chattanooga and a little to the East. Would be a fair trip from Memphis.

All you need is a lake pass for Glen Springs. If you have a sportsmans license you don't need anything else. Its a good lake but it doesn't have trout. It has good fishing for panfish. I've caught some good size bream that weighed 1 lb & better. I fish it several times every yr.
