Myself (Nigel - north Jersey) and Thuglike (Jason - Trenton area) have been talking about getting a New Jersey Area Power Stroke Club together and we are going out to the forums to gather a response of interest. Talking about some regular get togethers, maybe putting together a dyno day, and maybe some track time or other activities. If we can get enough PSD's to support a club, that would be great, if not we will open it up to all NJ area diesels.
If you are in the NJ area and interested in getting together a diesel club, please respond.

When you are down...look up...get up...and don't ever give up....
you will find we have a major mix of motors here. you might have better luck asking every one even us with v10's just to get together and have ford fun.
389 six pack heh? gto type i would have to guess. how about a 59 389 with a poncho injection unit on it? just drill the t stat crossover with 2 new holes and it fitts. it's sitting in a 36- 3 window poncho. with a rummble muncie4 spd and 59 poncho rear, shortened 59 axles to fit the 57 poncho houseing .

Thanks. Really looking to get NJ Smokers together to share issues, performance upgrades, possible plan some diesel dyno days, track time, etc. Also, might be nice to attract DHRA or NDHRA to NJ (or northeast for that matter).
did you make the diesel nationals a few weeks ago? man was it packed at etown.tons of ford guys from all over.
if you don't mind ,while i now drive a v10 due to bad luck with a 03 6.0.i am still very deeply into moding the diesel motor and don't mind shareing what i have learned in doing so on many motors over my life time of being a mechanic. my back ground includes dd, cat, cummins. yanmar, ford, mtu, deutz, and a few others ,
take a peek into my tech gallery you will see a 4 cylinder 300hp,cummins in where it should not be sitting. right now my shop is working on putting the same model motor into a ranger 2x4,

Yes, Diesel Nationals was good. Fall Brawl (diesel dyno days) in PA also. Yes, we are open to that. Right now I'm thinking on putting a turbo on 10hp Datz for a golf cart. DHRA is setting up (I think) a class for diesel golf cart drags - Now that's fun!! I will add your name. On all the sites (FTE, TDS and TDG) I think we have only had about 8 responses. We were hoping to get quite a few more than that. If things don't pickup, it may change to NJ Area Diesel Club and invite all makes. Not a lot of Ford prticipation. I noticed a similar trend with the Mason Dixon Diesel club - Dodge diesels out number the Fords about 5 to 1, and the Fords out number the GM's about the same. Go figure.
How about it NJ Area Powerstroke Diesels? Anyone out there?
So are there are Jersey diesel guys out there?? We guys from the North and Central Jersey (so far) have been trying to put together a New Jersey Area PSD Club. We've met a couple times but turn out has been modest. Most of us, so far, are on TDS of TDG forums. We're meeting for dinner to BS about diesels, etc. Maybe in the spring, do a dyno day or wrenching day. Just get together and meet up with other diesel heads. All are invited.
Next meeting/get together will be, Tuesday, JAN 23rd, 2007, at 7:00pm, at TGI Fridays on Route 202, at the Somerville circle.
Put it on the calendar - JAN 23rd, 2007!!
The one at the Somerville Circle:
395 US Highway 202/206
Bridgewater, NJ 08807
