ZF5 and ZF6....are they the same?

do the ZF5 and ZF6 (for the 7.3 diesel) have the same bellhousing bolt pattern?

i have called several parts yards here in town and they all say they are the same bolt pattern.

your thoughts?

If they are both from a 7.3 then yes they have to be the same.

thats what i would have thought, but if you get on fordcummins.com website, they sell a cummins conversion plate for a ZF5 and then a another one for the ZF6. they say the plates are different. i figured they are just tryin to steal more money from the buyer. not that im gonna buy one. thats the only place that has said they are diff. so far.
thanks for the input.

The plates may have a different thickness, starter location or something like that. I'm not up on all of the 7.3 stuff but my thought was the trans will bolt up but I had forgotten they use the spacer plate.

i see. so it would bolt up, just not start lol. if anyone knows if the starter is in a different place, or how thick the shims are, that would be great if someone could tell me.
