Check for a bad fuse or relay, maybe. You might want to ask here <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD></TD><TD></TD><TD>1997 - 2003 F150
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>. Someone may have a wiring manual for your year. Good luck with it.

FOund it
The problem was (and seems to be fairly common) with the harness plug in the steering colum. There ia a pug that runs under the steerind housing. It looks like the use of the tilt wheel causes the prong that secures the male plug to the female plug receiver over time breaks and although it is connected it tends to back out and loose good connection. If anyone has this problem and needs to know how to fix it let me know and i'll be glad to help

Memphisbrad I have the same problem with my 2001 F-150.When I tilt my steering wheel downward my turn signal blinks fast on the front right and does not blink at the back right and also brake light not working right side. All this happens only when the steering wheel is tilted downward. All fuses are fine.Any help to fix this problem is appreciated.

Your Ford dealer should have a new hardshell connector in stock for about 10 bucks or so. It usually is more than just breaking the lock tabs for the hardshell to multifunction switch itself. It usually also breaks the tabs that hold the individual wires into the hardshell. Some of them I have found had all of the retainers broken in the hardshell connector. Just do a pin for pin swap into the new shell, plug it in and drive on.
