'59 292 - Manual or electric choke?

Hi all,

Motor was missing everything north of the short block and dash was a mess. Going to an Edelbrock 600 with the correct 4 barrel intake.

Were these trucks delivered with a manual choke or was Electric an option. Some of my dash holes were occupied but I have several holes that looked like field mods. If it is a manual choke,

* which side of the steering wheel
* what other dash ammenities is it adjacent to?

Sorry for such a dumb question but all of my resources are where I can't get at them to check.

TIA,

Greg

I don't have a choice. My 50 will have to be wife friendly. I can just see her trying to drive with a manual choke. The thought of what she would have to say to me is scary plus I want her to enjoy
driving it as much as I will so she will continue to be supportive of my truck building mania.

Hi,
I agree that it would have been a manual choke.

Here is the order from left to right..........

(Left side of wheel) Wiper, Lights, L. Air

(Right side of wheel) R. Air, Choke, Throttle (or blank space where it would be), Lighter, Heat/Defrost, Then radio.

I hope this helps you.
