1986 5.0 EFI - what's this hole?
This will sound really stupid, but I didn't start this project. My son took this apart and he doesn't remember what goes where - his first engine project.
We're installing a rebuilt 302/5.0. On the intake manifold, driver's side, there is a threaded hole (opposite the EGR tube) into the exhaust crossover area. Center of the manifold, just above the injectors. 1/2"NC bolt starts to thread into it, but I didn't push it - it could be pipe thread I suppose.
What is supposed to go in here? Any pointers are greatly appreciated. Ask if you need more info or pics. Thanks - Tim
ps. thot I'd ask in this forum 'cause I think it's more truck system specific than engine.........
