2006 F350 17" wheel specs
I'm looking for aftermarket wheels for my F350. The 18" Continentals have got to go and the winter tires I want need 17" wheels. What are the wheel specs-I know the bolt pattern is 8X170, but don't know offset, etc. Also any suggestions for wheel sources would be appreciated.

I posted this in the Alaska forum, but do any you folks have any experience with Goodyear Wrangler tires in ice and snow conditions?
Goodyear released to E range 18" tires rated approximately 3600# each, in a LT275/70R and a LT325/60R configuration, nominal 33". Am considering the narrower tire, and studding the heck out of it.

The offset is not stamped on the rim, just the size 17x7.5j. Measured it at +36mm offset. I did a search and came up with a website that lists the fatory offset for the 17X7.5 and the 18x8 at +40mm offset for 2005 and up. Not much for aftermarket yet, but lots of factory takeoffs on ebay. One of the aftermarket sites says anything from +15 to +35 fits. The lower the positive offset the more you will move the wheels outwards though. I got my spare set of rims & tires (factory) off of ebay. Either way good luck. Any Ford shop should be able to answer your question about putting the 17's on a 05+ F350, but I'd eat my shorts if you couldn't The smaller diameter (265/70-17 vs. 275/70-18) will throw out your speedo by 4.7%. When it reads 60mph you will only be going 57.2mph.
