What have you done to your Ford lately?
#136
Hey all,
Success! I was able to bend the two mounting tabs that were not flat with the floorboard with a pair of Vise Grips, so now both seats are mounted firmly with 4 bolts/studs. Looks good, and I just had to take it out for a test ride to make sure they were as comfortable as they looked.
I was not able to use the folding center seat/console though as it had four studs, but no holes in the floorboard for them. If I had been able to drill the holes, I would still need to put nuts on them from underneath, something I am unable to do. Maybe I can have a sheet metal bracket made that has the three holes of the original console, and then the four holes for the studs. This way I can put nuts on them above the carpet.
