New Gallery Pictures of my F-3

Although it is still a work in progress (my truck AND my gallery), I've added new pictures to my gallery for anyone interested in a 48 F-3 converted to an F-1. Winter is here in the upper northeast and I've done about all I can to it for this year. It still needs paint, side window glass, bed wood installed, and brakes but it looks like a truck again and much better than it did when I got it anyway...even if I have to say so myself...

Congratulations Vern! You have a driver. It looks real good.
I am a long way off by comparison. I last drove my 49 in 1987.

Vern,

The truck looks great!!! Its nice to see it all put together again isn't it?

I take it that you never got the brakes straightened out?

Heck, winter time down here is when I finally get time to work on my truck.

Congrats, Vern. That baby has come a long way. With the different colors and all, it looks a little like mine!

What color are you going to paint it?

I'm leaning toward silver or burgundy to match the interior...

Nope! I installed a new MC but that didn't change anything so now I have all winter to think about it...

Vern,
Sorry to hear that. Maybe after a winters worth of ponderin' about it you can make a fresh start in the spring and the solution will be something easy. In the dead of winter you might have to substitute some warm Bailey's Irish Cream in place of the frosty beverages.

Vern,
Your truck is looking great! Here in Texas, it's starting to be "working on the truck" season. It's finally bearable to be in the garage (no AC and would only need heat a couple of weeks out of the year).

Anyway, congrats and now you can stew over those brakes all winter! I'm still thinking there's a problem with the combination valve.

Stay warm!

Moving in the right direction

Vern, Great to see your truck out on its' own. Looks a whole lot different than when I saw it in your garage. I know what you mean about not doing anymore this year. Even though mine has Snow Tires, it's not going out anymore this year.

Newt,

Thanks. I still want to get down there and see yours since you finished it one of these days...just can't seem to find the time.
