i have a 97 F150 with 165,000mi, 6" Fabtech suspension and 3" body lifts, 36" Trxus tires. a week ago i replaced my lower ball joints, upper control arms and ball joints, inner and outer tie rods on both sides, idle arm and pitman arm. before doing all of this the truck was NOT shaking (it was a death trap because all of these parts were REALLY worn but it wasn't shaking). after doing all the work now it pulls to the right and shakes between 35 - 50mph. if i am excellerating in a straight line there is no problem but as soon as i take a curve to the right the shaking starts and doesnt stop unless i slow below 35 or speed up past 50. i took the truck to alignment shop, they did alignment and said everything was tight but shaking persists. they are blaming it on my large tires that are about 60% worn (but evenly worn). if it was the tires why wasnt it doing it before i replaced all that stuff? there has got to be something else. they tried to balance the tires but their machine wasnt big enough, again if that was the problem why wasnt it happening before. i just had the tires balanced at a "big truck" shop about a month ago. the alignment shop owner told me in his 45 years of being in the business he had never heard of someone replacing all of that stuff and their vehicle riding worse than before. great i love being a first. i am very frustrated, i have spent over $800 in the last week and my truck drives worse than it ever has. i would really appreciate any advice or suggestions anyone can give.
