Differential Locker for 9.75

Hi All,

I have been searching all over for a true locker for the Sterling 9.75 that Ford uses in the F-150. I called ARB and Detroit. Both say that they have no plans to offer anything for this line. The limited slip that comes stock, I am told by Ford, gives at 120 ft/Lbs. For me and my applications this is worthless. So I am looking for a locker or some sort of posi-slip that will fit the 9 3/4 read end. Auburn has a product but I don't know much about it. Any suggestions would be great.

I have to ask who you talked to at detroit and ARB? Because both of them offer a locker for the 9.75 and have for several years. ARB sells an air locker and Detroit sells the TruTrac.

Thanks ford390gashog, looks like Detroits has it under a new product. It sure is great to learn new things here about our trucks.

Detroit is pretty slow about updating their website. It came out in 04 at the SEMA show along with the Toyota locker.

Where did you buy your Coopers and how much did you pay for them??? I have been lookin for that exact same tire and size for my 97 and I cannot find them anywhere locally, 2 places locally can get them for 1100 bucks for me, I have fuond them for about 900 delivered on line. How do they drive on and off road, road noise?? Sorry not stealing your thread but I love the way those tires look and want them badly.

I purchased at a local tire factory in Bend, Oregon. I live 6 miles off paved road and between yesterday when I bought them and today driving--I love them. Going elk hunting back in Idaho next week and after I return I will do an update on how they performed.
