removing injector rail

yet another problem...

i cant for the life of me get to the last two spark plugs on either side.
i need to get the injectors or the injector rail (silver tube that connects injectors to one another, not sure if its called the rail) out of the way...

any suggestions?

You aren't using the proper extension/swivels. You shouldn't have to remove the fuel rails.
But to remove them, you remove the two retaining bolts and wiggle the rails up and off. You will need to replace the injector o-rings if you do remove them.

what swivels do i need?

it doesnt seem possible to remove the plugs from under the rail.
there is almost no clearance to get a plug socket in.

Do it

Just make sure you use a little oil (non silicone based) on the injector o rings when you put the fuel rails back on. I damaged a couple of seals and had to replace them. Second time around they slipped right back on.

Use all 1/4 inch drive sockets, extensions and universals. Try and avoid using drive adaptors. For the spark plug, use the shortest extension you have so that it just appears out of the top of the spark plug "pit". It fits, but isn't fun.
