Break tech question
I have seen articles on a power break install. What you might want to do is search "power brake install" or something like it. The search engine on this site is real wacky though, hardly anything comes up. Its here, you just might have to hunt it down.
hope this helps.

Break tech question
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-Dec-02 AT 10:51 AM (EST)]Don't know if you got my E-mail... so here's some info (again!):
I have a 2WD '59 F100. My Brakes and Suspension guy researched a replacement for the single cylinder. I had a dual master cylinder installed PLUS a power booster on the stock drums like you want to do(my RV cam, since downgraded to a stock cam, was sucking too much of the vacuum and the brakes were suffering for it). If memory serves me, I believe he researched and determined that a Jeep power booster fit the '59 Ford application. Mind you, it doesn't stop like a new car does these days, but it works fine and I am comfortable with my braking ability now.
If it turns out you need the EXACT info on the brake parts he used on mine, let me know, I'll contact him and see if I can rattle his brain or pull the receipt. Be happy to, just let me know if I can help...
Daryl
P.S.- I just went ahead and pulled the receipt. FYI, the brake booster cost me $168 + $50 for the install. Not bad for an upgraded brake system. I'll call them Monday and see what info I can get you....
