Thomasm67 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Let's establish what we know upto 77 Hiboy's had a divorced Tcase my 76 does. Now 77 1/2 F250's started having married Tcases which in turn they would have a Hi pinion D44 or D60 in the front at least all the ones i have seen do. If i'm wrong so be it i'll stand corrected but i think were on track with this.

I own two 77 F-250's. One is an early, made in Febuary and it is a highboy. The other was made in July I think, (I don't have the cab anymore) and it is the same as a 78/79.The highboy has a low pinion and the 771/2 has a high pinion.

This is what i found at LMC

http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/fc/0055.html

this is from Auto Krafter's

http://www.autokrafters.com/2TR1.pdf

The grille really didn't have anything to do with it from 73-77 1/2 they had the split grille then 78-79 they offered only the single center grille and that went across all models F100, 150, and F250 same for the 73-77 1/2 now you might be able to put the whole grille from one to another those links will show you want i mean i hope.

I put a 77' grill on my 78' bronco, cuz I hate the 78-9 ones, all I had to do was mount the headlights lower on the rad. support. The bosses for where to mount them in their new place were already there. like they use the exact same thing, just drill different holes for the different years!, because the headlights go under the parking lights on the 77 grill. It was really easy, pretty much bolt on kinda stuff. But lets not get too off track here!...lol I would pick up that D60, for spare parts anyways!, or maybe a future project.....or anything!, D60's are always a GREAT thing to have layin' around!
