Problem with heavy acceleration

While driving in all gears and applying heavy acceleration the truck seems to surge or it feels as if the clutch is slipping but the engine does not rise in rpms or anything. I have gotten one opinion that it could be the fuel pump. You can rev the engine in nuetral and it will not happen but when a load is put on it is when the truck will surge. Has Anyone else had the same problem?

The Odometer also does not Light up ever.

I would have to guess that the fuel pump is faulty.
You will need to hook up a fuel presure tested,in order to find out for sure.
I saw that a couple of times with this trucks, ran ok,but once you went full throttle RPMs wouldnt even go up,found defective fuel pumps, replaced and all ok after.Make sure you replace you fuel filter too.

I think my problem is a bad COP. I will see what the dealership computer tells me...may be the fuel pump.
