Talking 534 turbocharged?

Hey im a new guy to this place and this is my fourth post so here it goes. I found the right place to flap my gums i think. I finished a 534 motor swap in my 91' f-350 dually reg cab. Yes it does fit and its not as tight as u think. If u go to personal announcements u can read more on my intro post of how im gettin 302 hp and 585 lb ft. of torque (@1900 rpm, nice). I do sled pulling with it in central PA but its not a big attracting track. The truck does beautifully on the sled and gets 4 mpg everywhere. Wat i was wondering i've heard rumors of these giants having primitive turbo systems put on them. I know i'll have to make my own pipes but how much boost cood i put in a 534? I did have the machine shop fill the pistons to make it an 8:0:1 motor but is there an intake lurking around out there anyone has seen for a turbo? Wood i have to custom make that as well? Is a turbo even worth it on a 534? Hmmmm i wonder.

I suppose it's possible, but with a low RPM motor like this, I think a blower would make more sense.

BTW, what tranny are you using behind it?

tranny benind 534

I was EXTEREMELY fortunate to find an old school bus (i think an old ford would be my best guess) that was equipped with the same np-435 trans im using in my ford. It's a funky looking bellhousing and i was willing to pay any price knowing that it would work with my tranny. The place charged only an extra 50 bucks! A blower would be possible but extensive fab would need to take place. Maybe i cood consider modifying a centrifugal blower??

What would look realy cool is a 534 with a big 8-92 blower sticking out of the hood.
