In brief - to the right on the bar above each and every reply to a post - you will see a small icon that looks like a set of balance scales.
NOW - I will tell you two things right away:
1) If you type in a text message in the line for an explanation in the box that pops up when you click on that - you are adding at least one point to that users reputation. So if you can only give out one rep point, adding an explanation will make it TWO points.
2) It is far better to do nothing at all, than it is to slam someone with negative rep points (YES! You can also take away someone's points...)
Beyond that, if you click on your USER CP and scroll all the way to the bottom - you will see where rep points show up for you, and from WHO...
This is why it is bad to get into a slamathon with someone over rep. They can see who did it to them, and any comments you add on when you do.
My thinking is "Play nice, or don't play at all"

PS: It is intended to be a reward for being helpful, or contributing to the forums. It is not, however, intended to become a competition such that people care about little else and fight over points. I truly think we have some fine people here, and I will go there when I can.
If negative rep is richly deserved by someone though - THAT is best left to an ADMIN or a MOD. And believe me, they can make a whole pile of points vanish in the blink of an eye....

I'm tearing up, Wolfie remebered i'm alive. (just messing with Ya!). LOL!.
I have been really busy these past 10 weeks. gone all week at work, come home friday afternoon, clean up, load the band equipment for the football games(away) or help out at the concession stand during home games. Saturday morning, load the equipment again for the marching compitition some where in west TN. Get back late saturday night/early sunday morning, unload and park trailer, take kids home, shwer and head to work. Whew. This will be my first saturday off. Have not had time to post.
But for all that hard work, the kids took 4th place in Tennessee Division II state finals!!
So i will be able to start posting again this weekend!
CONGRATULATIONS MCHS MARCHING BOBCATS! #4 in the entire state of TN!
Greywolf [/font]]So if you can only give out one rep point, adding an explanation will make it TWO points.
The last time you gave me rep points(Thanks BTW), you gave me 5 points. I haven't figured out how they determine how many points a person receives. I've had people give me between one and twenty. The other day Big350 gave me something like 50 points. I am pretty sure that the person has no control over how many points they are giving out.
Also, after you give someone rep points, you have to give points to 10 other people(I thinkthatsright) before you can give it to the same person.
Greywolf, I've got to give out a few more points then I'll send some your way.
