2004 f-250 super duty drive line noise

my truck has 58k on it. when I got in the truck to drive back from were I came from I had a noise that sounded like rubber rubbing together and making a squeking noise, the noise stopped when I drove for a while, after about 30 miles of driving at speeds around 45 to 60 it came back now it does it all the time when driving slow or fast sounds like it is coming from the middle of the truck like maybe u joints not sure any ideals

rgt this may sound nuts but this afternoon I took my garden hose with a spray nozzel and rinsed down the drive shaft and both of the rear brakes and rear wheels. the noise is gone I went for a 30 mile drive to see if I could get the noise to come back it did not. I had new rear rotors and brake pads put on as well as front rotors and pads,I put on about 300 miles on the new brakes before any of this noise stuff started.I will see what happens in the morning I will go for a drive to see if the noise comes back.I will keep you posted.

it may be too late, but my truck did the same thing and it was the carrier bearing, if you have the warranty id just go have it replaced before it goes bad and your out of warranty.

well here is the update. the noise came back just before I left to go back to fl. I stopped and got a can of liquid wrench the one that you can use on rubber, vinyl, metal. I sprayed down the entire drive line the noise went away as soon as I did this. I have put on 1400 miles and still no noise. when I sprayed down the drive line the first time I used a teflon spray then sprayed the drive line down with water hose that lasted for about a week. now that I know the liquid wrench works right away if the noise comes back I will spray down the drive line one section at a time and pin piont the problem then I will fix it. hope this helps some one with the same problem.
