Droning sound at 1500 rpm

recently i have been getting a droning sound at 1500rpm until the engine loads the exhaust up. It is an 03 f-250 6.0L w/ magnaflow turbo back exhaust. It sounds like the drone is coming from the engine area any ideas? the exhaust has been in for a year now and this has started recently any ideas?

you can try to neutralize your exhaust. Basically loosen everything up from the trubo back let it idle and warm up and then retighten. I believe these are the steps ford takes also. If not ... since it's a 2003 you might need to get the updated turbo pedistal installed. Good luck.

I had the same issue because I put the wrong downpipe on without the resonator. You have had your exhaust on for awhile now so this is probably not it but if you took the resonator out and you have an 03 motor, this could be it.

Is it just an audible droning sound, or is there a vibration that goes with it? I think I am experiencing the same thing, and I can feel a vibration through the accelerator pedal. It is very annoying driving around town at 30-35mph, cuz the rpm's sit right around 1500, and it vibrates the whole time.
