Seatbelts twisted

I have a 2003 Exp. and I now have 3 twisted seatbelts. First to twist was the front passenger then the 2nd row passenger and today the 2nd row driver side. I have tried folding the belt and sliding the latch up to get it twisted back to the original position but no luck. i don not know how the belts get all twisted but I'm blaming my wife...
Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can fix these belts? I'm sure thay will still work if we got in an accident but just knowing they are twisted is bugging me.

lots of 2003 expys were made with the belts installed wrong. mine was one of them and the shop had done 12 others when i brought it in in 2004. when the belts were bolted to the frame the buckle was flipped and the belts will always be prone to getting twisted. you can take the plastic cover off and look for yourself. once you get the cover off you can fix it yourself in a few minutes. all you need is a torx socket set.

Having twisted is really aweful. I remeber the time when I can hear an annoying rattling inside my car and the culprit was the twisted seatbelt where the belt latch was rattling against the plastic trim. You could carefully pull out the whole belt and by folding the belt webbing in the right way you can pull it through the buckle and untwist it.

You can twist the buckle but it will take time. My Mustang has one like that now and I don't know how it got that way.

Now, on the Expy, my wife is constantly twisting the damn buckle when she buckles up our daughter. She would put the belt on any kind of damn way. As long as it's on she's happy. I had to point out to her that she maybe endangering our daughter's and now she's a little more cognizant of how she puts the belt on.
