Paddle, paddle, Paddle. Yep we have no road, better yet we loss part of a bridge. They do have a temp bridge but it can only be used in case of a emergency and those that live in the 19 mile sub division.
WilliesSD250 is down here with me and wouldnt you know it the subdivison that I live in is the one that was flooded. We spent all day carring sand bags in the backs of our trucks. We figure there was approximatley 3500 lbs in each load. Never got over the tires pertaining to depth of the water. Sorta ironic the part of the subdivision that I live in was fine and its the portion that is considered in the Flood Zone. The sections that flooded were not in the flood zone. From what I heard sounds as if they didnt have flood insurance since it wasnt mandatory.
Back to the roads. Hopefully they will have the road drivable by the end of next week. I missed a few appts in Anchorage so I had to reschedule it. I will try to attach a photo here to show what Keystone Canyon looked like in case no one has seen it.

Man I just got a CD given to me from our local IBEW person with a ton of photos on it. Maybe I will have to start posting a new set here and there.
The latest is we should be able to drive out of town with Pilot cars come this weekend. After looking at the photos given to me I can see why. I guess they will start the repaving process next week. Boy talk about the last minute job before winter.

Mike, you dirty little rat......upstairs on FTE and didn't even tell me. Twin Tritons....I went down to Valdez the middle of September to help Mike out with a project......was planning to roll back to Palmer Oct.4, but the rain on the 3rd and the resulting road washout resulted in me staying until yesterday (monday). With the road the way it was it took about from 11 am to 2:30 pm just to drive from Valdez (milke 10) to THE HUB in Glennallen. Then is decided to snow on me from there to about Chickalloon. I finally got to the house in Palmer about 6:30 pm. Talk about a long drive......
I'm not gonna name any names, but ya forgot my DVD MIKE!!!! I'll be back in November for it, or ya could just mail it to me along with a cd of the pics of the road. I couldn't stop and take any photos.
BTW Mike, at evevations above 1600 ya got snow and the road between glennallen and Eureka is just plain lousy, but I guess DOT is more concerned with the Richardson right now. They weren't really getting after the plowing or sanding like I've seen in the past.

So, have you gotten snow?? We woke up to about an 1" this morning. Snowing somewhat now. Drivers in the "city" have forgotten how to drive
"turned sour", yea I follow ya
Bought my BW Tow&Stow hitch yesterday. Got the 8" dual (2" and 2 5/16)from Six Robblee's for $225. The're the cheapest place I could find. Ford wanted $300, SBS wanted $260. I priced the turn over goose neck....$492.72. I'll get it as soon as the check arrives.....(they have 50 of them in stock)
Bedliner (Line-X) is next Tuesday for $475. Yea...spending the money..LOL

Shy by 2 feet........I know you got a wood stretcher, don't you have a roof metal stretcher??? Yea, I heard about the road being closed again, LMAO, are you ever getting to Anchorage??
I got all the stuff returned to SBS. Wayne wasn't there but the guys in the office told me where to go. Then the yard guys told me where to go, and then the guys at inside sales told me where to go. I'll tell you what.....after getting run around that whole complex I was about ready to tell them "WHERE TO GO!!!" They have to have the worst customer service of any home improvement store I've been in! Hopefully you have already talked to him and have everything worked out.
Gotta run. You stay DRY okay?? Think snow

They only gave me 2 copies...one from the yard and one from inside sales. Put both on his desk. They didn't give me a copy just for me to hold on to for proof
