Just bought a new F-150 today !

Hi all,
Well, I'm not a new member by far, but I have not been here in a while. I had an 03' F350 DRW Larait (see my gallery) with everything but the kitchen sink. I ended up putting so many mod's on the 6.0L that I voided the warrenty. The turbo was about to go so I said I had enough and traded it for a car. Biggest mistake of my life. I had a 2005 crown vic for about 18 months and hated it. I missed my truck so much. So, long story short . . . .I'm back ! lol I don't have a superduty this time though I bought a 2006 F150 XLT fully loaded Supercab in all black. I love it so far. It only has 17 miles on her. Ahhh it feels good to be in a truck again. The only downside is it is not a 4X4 shes a 4X2 but with some added weight in the bed is should not be *that* bad. Well I just figured I'd drop in and say he to all in the F150 fourm. I'll be here alot for some questions (since this is my first F150 I've had two previous F350's) to answer. So far I LOVE this truck it has alot of options that I find very useful.
Well, see you all around !
Mike

Congradulations on your new truck. It sounds a whole lot like the one I just bought...right down to the color.

Mine's an XLT F-150 SuperCab 2wd with limited slip rear-end, 5.4L engine, towing package and some other stuff that came with the Oklahoma/Texas package but other than that pretty basic XLT.

I think you'll really end up liking your new one with the smoother ride, better fuel mileage, and the front end won't eat tires near as fast as a 4wd. Plus if it's got a limited slip rear-end it will surprise you at some of the muck you can get out of that a regular rear-end won't.

The only bad thing about both of our trucks is the fact that they are black. What a bitch to keep clean...but when they are clean WOW.

Thanks for the welcome guys ! The F150 feels just as high when riding in it than the 350 did. The only thing I am worried about is how are these 2 wheel drive trucks in snow? I hope it wont be as bad as my vic. I've never driven a 2 wheel drive truck before. So far I'm lovin' it I really** did not *need* a superduty anyway so if I really really love this truck I may just trade it for another top of the line Larait next year (eather way I'm trading it next year but orignally it was going to be for antother superduty but if I like the 150 I may just get another one ). Any comments on a 2WD F150 in New England ??

Same way I went from a 1985 F-150 FLARESIDE to a 2002 Focus....
