How the heck do you remove the sub woofer? Speaker is blown. Took the speaker cover off, removed screws holding speaker and it acts like it is attached at the rear. What gives, does some one have the secret? I would appreciate it.

On my 97 Mountaineer it came loose when I removed the 4 screws that hold it to the box in the passengers side rear quarter. Maybe you need to pry it loose as there was nothing holding it to the box in the rear in the 97 model year.

Some speakers are glued in place, or just stuck...

Just replaced the rear speakers in a neon, and they were stuck also

If the speaker's blown, just pry it out
