I recently aquired this from a vintage sign collector friend as a finders fee for locating a specific collector car he had been seeking. The price tag on the back reads 195$. I would guess it is from the mid fifties. The policeman is outlined in some sort of textured luminescent paint. It is a very nice piece, and will adorn my license plate tommorrow nite.

 

Cool! There was a thread on stuff like this on the HAMB a while ago, there are all kinds of variations on license plate add-ons.

 

I have two of them. Bought them on eBay for something like $50 each.

nice, i have a couple of vanity plates as well, but i have been trying to think of a way to lock them onto the studa without causing any permanent problems so that no one trys to steal them.

so does your liscense plate go over the black part of the decoration?

 

Yes. The red part will stick out from the top right corner. Dang. Sorry to hear Ilya only paid 50$ each for his. I thought I really had something. Oh well... it's still cool.
