Help!! I bought a 62 F100 stepside w/292 and 3 speed converted from column to floor. A cheap Hurst indy shifter was used, and it has worn out. What is a GOOD shifter replacement for this? It has the stock transmission and I am willing to put another product line in....B&M and Hurst have shifters from 63 on up....I don't want to use a generic year shifter if i can help it, but I'm at my wits end!! thanks

 

The 63 should work fine, They have to stop on years somewhere.

Is your tranny auto or manual? I am interested because I just got a 63 stepside (flareside) which came stock with a 3-speed manual on the column that was converted to an automatic on the floor. I am very happy with the performance of the floor shifter and can get the manuf. info for you if it would help. Let me know.
