I am entering a ford powerstroke diesel program and im trying to come up with an idea about what special tools and such are needed for the diesel engines. ANY info on tools for these trucks.

Sorry nobody answered your post in a month.

There really isnt' anything to special for the 7.3's that you need.

On the 6.ohs and later, I have no idea.

With the engine being packed in there tighter, even on the SD 7.3's, things get a bit rougher to work on.


The best tool in any tool box is the one sitting between your ears and behind your eyes.

 

most special tools are suppled by the dealer as a requirement to there franchise agreement.
the rest or good basic metric tools and a dvom

 

If you plan to work at home, you may need some of these.
