I need some tips for pulling the tranny out of my dads 96 PSD. We're trying to replace the clutch but are not able to get to the bolt at the top under the turbo.

Does the turbo have to be removed to get to it or can the engine/tranny be dropped to achieve the nessesary room to remove this bolt?

I pulled my e40d out on my truck, yeah, its an automatic but I dropped the cross member that supports the tail shaft and let the engine and tranny hang down and I used a 3 foot 1/2 drive extention and pulled the bolts out with little troubles.

Yours is a MTX so it maybe a little different.............thats what I did with my auto

 

I wouldn't pull the turbo. The best way is the way David did it. Get a couple of feet of extensions and a universal and go up from the bottom.
